What are cookies?

Cookies are computer data stored on end user devices, serving to improve the use of the Company’s website. Cookies usually contain the name of the site from which they originate, the time for which they are stored on the end user device, and a unique identifying number.

What do we use cookies for?

The Company uses cookies:

  1. To optimize the content of Web pages and to enable this content to be better matched to users’ preferences. Cookies make it possible to recognise the user’s device and to display a page in a way that best meets the user’s individual needs.
  2. To collect information for statistical purposes in order to analyse traffic on our site and to analyse the elements of the site so as to improve the structure and content of pages, thus providing even greater customer satisfaction. Cookies do not personally identify the user, but enable us to analyse how the user navigates our site, using what device and operating system, from which search engine, using which search keywords, etc.

The cookies which the Company stores on end user devices may also be used for advertising purposes, including by partners of the Company.

What cookies are used, and do they contain personal data?

Two types of cookies are used – session cookies and persistent cookies. The first kind are temporary files which remain on the user’s device until the user logs out from the website, leaves the site or closes the Web browser. Persistent cookies remain on the user’s device for a time which is defined in the cookie parameters, or until they are deleted by the user. The storage of such a cookie means that next time you visit our website you can be logged in automatically. Personal data obtained using cookies can be collected only for the purpose of performing defined functions for the user and only when the user’s consent has been given. Such data is encrypted in a way that makes it impossible for unauthorised persons to access it (Privacy Policy).

Can cookies be deleted?

Web browser software normally enables the storage of cookies by default. These settings can be changed by the user at any time, so as to block the automatic processing of cookies in the browser settings, or to require notification to be given to the user whenever a cookie is received. Restricting the use of cookies may affect certain functions available on the Company’s site.
